Product -Newspaper advertising – newspapers used to be the main source of written information that people would purchase of local news agents and shops and it would give you information on what is going on locally, nationally and internationally. But in the age of technology the 21st century people get their news off digital devices and their daily news articles of social media and magazines.
Price- newspapers would cost between two euro or five euro depending on the type of newspaper you are buying. News articles on the internet are different in that they are free of charge and give standard information as well as any newspaper.
Place- News articles are easy to access on the internet more so than newspapers in local store in that you would have to go to a store or your local news agent to purchase a newspaper. Articles on the internet are easy to access if you have WIFI.
Product- Radio and television commercials- Radio and television is another traditional marketing strategy that is rarely being used any more, especially radio. Radio has been replaced with podcasts and other entities on the web. Television is still used. Going on websites and apps is the new way of accessing news or watching programmes e.g. Netflix.
Price: Listening to traditional radio weather in your car or in your home in free of charge as well as having a television in your home. But watching movies on websites like Netflix must be paid for 10:99 per month to be exact. Both are accessible at any time.
Place- newspapers can be bought in local news agents or stores around the country. News articles from the internet can be accessed on the internet google. The Argos newspaper can be purchased in any Argos store around the country.
Product- Fliers, postcards, brochures, catalogues- this way of sending messages is still around but only digitally, especially with young people. The traditional way used to be sending postcards or catalogues now more individuals send things digitally through social media or the web in general.
Price- postcards and fliers are very cheap. You can go to your local store and purchase a postcard for two euro or less.
Place- you can go to your local store and purchase event items like for birthdays, Christmas, mother’s day etc.
