Newspaper advertising – newspapers used to be the main source of written information that people would purchase of local news agents and shops and it would give you information on what is going on locally, nationally and internationally. But in the age of technology the 21st century people get their news off digital devices and their daily news articles of social media and magazines.
Radio and television commercials- Radio and television is another traditional marketing strategy that is rarely being used any more, especially radio. Radio has been replaced with podcasts and other entities on the web. Television is still used but not as much anymore, especially with the younger audience. Going on websites and apps is the new way of accessing news or watching programmes e.g. Netflix.
Fliers, postcards, brochures, catalogues- this way of sending messages is still around but only digitally, especially with young people. The traditional way used to be sending postcards or catalogues now more individuals send things digitally through social media or the web in general.
Calling consumers on the phone- this way of contact is direct, quick and easy to use. Just one phone call for every costumer would benefit the agency from going door to door for a quick questionnaire or survey.

Email campaigns- Marketing has changed as well and everything you send is digitised on the web or other digital entities. E-mail marketing is a way for firms to market their brand and it is working successfully for those firms who sell their products online e.g. Littlewoods, e bay and Amazon. These firms know who is shopping on their online website and how often they shop on it so access to a consumers e- mail is inevitable.
Mobile phones- this type of marketing is a way of reaching specific audiences on their smartphones and other digital devices, through email, sms, social media or mobile application. SMS was the first way of marketing which started in the early 2000 when business started to collect mobile phone numbers. Mobile phone companies e.g. meteor now use sms to send you messages on special offers, prizes or free calls a month.
Company websites – An information website that companies create e.g. Amazon to sell and market their products to consumers. It is a new way of buying things online, instead of a customer going to the local store or retailer to purchase an item. They now can easily shop online and your good/goods would be delivered to you within days. There are many companies who use this way of marketing e.g. amazon, Littlewoods, or lifestyle sports.
Display advertising- this kind of advertising comes with many formats, text, image, video or audio. Display advertisings main function is to display information of ads. There are many companies that use this kind of advertising to display their brand and product e.g. Nike, Coca Cola and Puma.
